After the event we sat together with Sabine and asked to share her experience with us.
The round-table discussions were all about biases in the application process and company’s online presence.
By examining employer websites, Sabine broke down how companies accidentally create these unconscious biases and how to remove them to attract and diversify the best-fit talent.
The participation was great, as everyone in the audience was very engaged!
Participants were more than willing to ask lots of questions and shared their companies’ best practices.
However, some were not aware of tools that are available to check job descriptions for gender bias. Thus, it was exciting to be able to share this knowledge and how Zocket is working to reduce biases in companies’ online presences.
The atmosphere was wonderful and the location was amazingly beautiful. Also, the highly modern architecture gave the space a light and friendly feeling.
The discussions had such a great buzz and there was a lot of excitement around the topics and speakers.
Additionally, the opportunity to network with other businesswomen and entrepreneurs was a great chance to exchange ideas and learn from each other.
The team appreciated the high level of interaction with the participants. The openness of others around sharing personal and company experiences was inspiring. Having the openness to look at one’s own issues leads the way to thinking about change.
And here at Zocket, we are trying to change the hiring process for the better.
